Las reacciones en el mundo tras la salida de Reino Unido de la Unión Europea

Finalmente se ha tomado una decisión en el Reino Unido; se ha votado en mayoría por “Leave” en el referéndum y ya se están comenzando a ver las consecuencias en más de un aspecto.

Ahora que Brexit es una realidad y Reino Unido ya no forma parte de la Unión Europea, el tema se convierte en un hecho histórico que se encuentra en boca de todo el mundo. Políticos, celebridades y algunas otras figuras de renombre alrededor del mundo ya han comenzado a hablar de lo que perciben con este gran cambio y obviamente, todo se refleja en las redes sociales.

A continuación vamos a ver el modo en que han reaccionado personajes como J.K. Rowling, Nigel Farage, Hugh Laurie y hasta Donald Trump, entre otros. Ustedes mismos verán que la noticia ha generado opiniones divididas desde el día de ayer.

I’m passionate about my country and whatever the result of Thursday’s referendum, we will always be Great. Each side has the right to their opinion and that should always be respected whatever the outcome of the European Referendum. I played my best years at my boyhood club, Manchester United. I grew up with a core group of young British players that included Ryan Giggs, Paul Scholes, Nicky Butt and the Neville Brothers. Added to that was an experienced group of older British players such as Gary Pallister, Steve Bruce and Paul Ince. Now that team might have gone on to win trophies but we were a better and more successful team because of a Danish goalkeeper, Peter Schmeichel, the leadership of an Irishman Roy Keane and the skill of a Frenchman in Eric Cantona. I was also privileged to play and live in Madrid, Milan and Paris with teammates from all around Europe and the world. Those great European cities and their passionate fans welcomed me and my family and gave us the opportunity to enjoy their unique and inspiring cultures and people. We live in a vibrant and connected world where together as a people we are strong. For our children and their children we should be facing the problems of the world together and not alone. For these reasons I am voting to Remain

Recientemente, el presidente de los Estados Unidos, Barack Obama, también expresa su resolución ante lo sucedido hace unas horas:

“Las personas de Reino Unido ha hablado y respetamos su decisión. Los Estados Unidos y la Unión Europea seguirán siendo compañeros indispensables, mientras comienzan a negociar los términos de su relación para asegurar una estabilidad continua, así como prosperidad y seguridad para Europa, Gran Bretaña, Irlanda del Norte y el mundo.”

El futuro pinta cada vez más para algo muy oscuro. Sólo queda esperar a ver cómo es que se mueve el mundo a partir de ahora y conservar la calma.
