IAMDDB no es una artista tradicional. A sus 21 años, la originaria de Manchester ha pasado largas temporadas perfeccionando su música en Portugal y Angola, en donde incluso, tocó para el presidente del país africano, y aunque pudiera parecer hip hop, ella en realidad describe su música como “urban jazz”, citando al jazz como su mayor influencia, además de artistas como Lianne La Havas o Jimmy Dludlu.
