Este domingo 9 de febrero se celebra la edición 92 de los premios Oscar 2020, la ceremonia más importante dentro de la industria del cine que premia lo mejor del cine de Hollywood a lo largo del año, todo sin olvidar los filmes más destacados internacionales y que reciben nominación en la categoría de Mejor Película Extranjera. Para este 2020, no hubo excepciones y las nominaciones de las 24 categorías se repartieron en un sinfín de producciones.
Para la máxima categoría, se nominaron nueve películas, destacando las favoritas como 1917, The Irishman, Joker y Parasite, la cual también compitió como cinta de habla no inglesa (y en otras cuatro categorías). Sin embargo, se trata de una de las ediciones más complicadas al tener producciones sumamente variadas y que cubren un espectro muy grande en historias… pero como mencionamos antes, las favoritas siempre han sido las cuatro anteriores.
Para esta edición 92, Netflix se coronó como el estudio más nominado con 24 nominaciones en distintas categorías, muy por encima de otras casas como Disney, Sony e incluso Warner, la cual llevó a los Oscar la historia Joker, la película más nominada de la edición con 11 menciones, destacando la de Mejor Película, Director para Todd Phillips y Actor para Joaquin Phoenix.
Algunas categorías, sobre todo las de actuación, ya están cantados los ganadores como Phoenix para Actor por Joker, Brad Pitt como Actor de Reparto en Once Upon a Time in… Hollywood, Laura Dern como Actriz de Reparto en Marriage Story y Renée Zellweger en Judy para Actriz.
